Hello Folks,
Received
your letters today (both Ma & Pa) and was glad to hear from you. I got the
money O.K. I’m glad you like the gifts.
Say
before I forget it. Tell Louise that she doesn’t have to send me those Boston Traveler miniature. Wait till I get overseas.
Another thing I have two stripes now. I was made a corporal July 5th.
I
am sending you some pictures I took down in Cuba. I will send some later after
I get some more prints made up. I also bought a camera, a Falcon candid. I paid
a fairly good price for it but I want a camera. It has a 3.5 opening at a speed
of 100. Takes a 127 film with 16 pictures.
The
weather has been stormy for the past three weeks- that is it rains and then the
sun comes out and dries everything up, then it will rain again. The storms last
about 15 minutes.
I
got a letter from Honey- He is still in Frisco. He also said he was crazy over
flying.
I
am sending your note back- Take a good look at it. I’ll say you were in a
hurry.
If
I ever get near Washington I will try and get in touch with Bob. I would like
to see him. Say he didn’t get married, did he?
I
have to take off now for a briefing. Will write later-
Bye
now
Love
John
P.S. I have been seeing a spar from
Braintree during the past couple of days.
