Dearest Husband:
Yesterday Sistie and Kathy left. We hated to see
them go, but Sistie was so anxious to get back to her garden etc. The corsage
you gave her was gorgeous. We got it to the train: fine big white roses and
lots of bon vardia (so fragrant) – boy her
favorites! She was terribly thrilled and pleased. It looked nice on her dress.
After I left them at the station, I went to the furniture shop to get the
kiddos koop, Darling, it’s lovely! It’s ivory and has a pink a pink mattress
with lil [little] boo teddy bears on it! It went easily into the car (folded
up, of course) and then I did a few errands – drug store, 10$ store etc. I got
roll a roll of film!! Also, Mother’s [Mother] came yesterday, too, so soon you
will have lots of snapshots of your beautiful little pin up girl. Winkie and I
sat up the bed very easily, and I put Janice into it at once. She loves it,
though was a teeny bit scared at first, but it’s big news. As I wrote mother, she
looks so adrift in it. She is loads more comfy in the koop, though, of
course. She slept wonderfully last night
in it. She’s getting very good about amusing herself when awake now and [it] is
too adorable in every way.
Love you so much, your wife.
