Dearest Sweetie:
Yesterday, I set out party flowering plants in the garden, and because the drought has been so severe, I prayed for rain all the while I was planting. Just as I put the last plant in a terrific storm broke, and it rained for two hours!!! I think it was a miracle. Even since, I have been praying for you to come home to me – NOW- but perhaps that is too much to ask. It is hard to be cut in half, from the dearest person in the whole wide world, the one who fulfills me. I love you, little honey, so much – in every possible way. Our angel child is still so darling that it makes me weak to look at her. She’s well, and seems to be liking this cooler weather immensely. She has on a the little flowered “house coat” that sister’s mother-in-law sew her, and looks simply precious. It’s a good fur, too. I shall and today at the P.O. if I can mail you that whole box of stogies by First Class Air Mail- if not, I will open it up and fix up little bundles of stogies. I can’t believe the finally came in!! Sistie and Kathie arrive day after tomorrow, the 19th. Beau arrives the 26th. Here is all my love Edward. For you, for always. Jamie sends hers, too.
Your wife, Paniel Eayuhz
