Hello Folks,
I
have arrived safely in Italy. We had a quiet trip across and I’m glad it was.
Two
of the boys talk Italian, therefore we have very
little trouble getting around. I catch a word here and there and if I stay here
long enough I will be able to speak the language, it will come in handy when we
go to the market in Boston and some Italian tries to do a job on us. At least I
will learn to tell him off.
Have
you heard from the other boys lately? Let’s have the lowdown on them. Mail
service is very slow as Louise might know. One fellow told me that it took
about two weeks going to the states but much longer coming. Keep writing and
I’ll do the same.
There
isn’t an awful lot to say. I am well and kicking. Say, about the porker,
everything is ok. It didn’t cost me a cent. See you.
Love
John
