Dearest
darling husband:
Today we tied up our last two
Christmas boxes for you, and will mail them tomorrow, making a total of six in
all to you from Wendie and pap and Janie and me. We
have strained so hard to choose things to please you and while there is nothing
of real monetary value in any of them, there is a world of thought and selection.
One Ouija board says you will get them all! I asked the Oujia
board what you wanted for Christmas, and it spelled out J-A-N-I-E! Isn’t that cute, and cozy. It finally cleared up today after
a week of fog and it is bitterly cold tonight, 36°, with a high WNW wind. We
are moving back to Centerville on Thursday the 19th, and more too
soon! I mailed you a set of the latest snapshots of Lovely. One in last nights letter. They are all nudes,
during her sunbath on October 7th, the day she was exactly 5 months
old, weighed 15 lbs 3oz, and cut her first tooth that
very day. I’m sending mother the same group, all except the one that shows her placie so clearly. No one gets that but you, because you’re
her dear daddy. I love you so much, my beloved, and will forever. I miss you
so.
Love
always,
Your
wife
