Dear Joe,
I am writing this short letter at work and I want to get
it in the 11:30 mail so please excuse its briefness. I just want to let you
know that I received your very nice letter and would like to see you Saturday
night if you come home.
You can reach me at Tri. 3755 or Tri. 9696. I shall wait
in on Saturday. If you don’t come home I shall understand.

The weather here has been terribly warm and I certainly
feel it.
I shall close now, Joe, because I do want this letter to
reach you. Hoping to see you soon. If you do not get home, I shall write you a
longer letter.
Your
friend,
Janey
