Dear Ward,

I don’t know how much you and Ruth are writing but I do know I haven’t heard from either of you in nearly a month. I do know, however, that you have moved. I know not where, so this will go to your old address first.

Things are about the same as they were before, so that leaves me nothing to write about. I suppose now you and Ruth are now happy and I sure hope you will never be parted again.

Incidentally a few days ago, some of the guys in the outfit were awarded the good conduct award. Although I realize I don’t deserve one, I think the whole thing is a joke. You remember what I did? Well, guys have done worse than that and they were awarded one of those lovely little medals. Doesn’t make much sense does it? But nevertheless those are the facts. I would go more in detail, but I’m afraid you are getting bored as it is.

Try to take care of yourself and give Ruth my love.

Loads of Love and Kisses,

Willie
