Dearest Clara,
Well
darling, I will try and drop a few lines as I have a fair place to sit awhile.
I am writing, the wind is blowing, and the waves are pretty high, lots of white
caps. Darling, I hope that you are feeling well, and take good care of
yourself, which I know you always have for me, and you know how I am with you
Darling. It sure is quiet on the ship. Some are writing and some are sleeping,
I always go to bed early so I don’t sleep in the day time. This letter is
pretty short but I will write a longer one on a regular letter, but honey it
will be longer reaching you. Write real soon Darling?
With lots of
love and kisses to my darling Wife Clara,
Johnny
