Dearest Clara,
I am fine except for my stomach feeling a little bit weak, the ship is rocking pretty hard, the waves are high, but I don’t think I will get sea sick now, I hope not anyway. Darling I sure hate it because I can’t write you a big long letter like I used to do but you know the reason why, maybe they will let me write more after we land, I sure hope so don’t you honey? I went to the show, it was fair but I didn’t care much for the kind it was, the name was (Whats Buzzin Cousin) maybe you have seen it already. I have to get your other letter written this evening if I have time before dark which I think I will but Darling it is time for chow, and I have to hurry. So be careful as I always am for you Dear.
Write soon,
John R Sankey
With lots of love and kisses to my Darling Wife.
