Dearest Clara,
Well
honey, I got two v-mails from you today, July 1st and 2nd.
Sure glad to have from you this soon, I guess the air mail is tied up some
place, there isn’t’ any of us getting any. I sure will be glad when I do
though. I like them much better and I know you do to. We can’t say very much on
these. I’m like you honey, I run out of space too soon, but its better to get
one of these than none at all isn’t it? I guess you must be feeling pretty
good, you never do say, but I sometimes wonder if you are alright, I hope you
got a good sleep after sitting up with Grandma, I am glad to here she is
resting better, it’s an awful strain, sitting up with a sick person. I should know
I sit up with Mother whe she was sick. I hope your Aunt Florence didn’t lose
her job and more so that nothing was wrong.
Well honey, I have to write your
other letter so will close this one, if you aren’t careful, you will get behind
on your air mail letters to me. HaHa.
With
all my love and kisses,
Johnny.
