Dearest Clara,
Honey I am
still up it is 3:30 in the morning, haven’t anything to do, until time to
change the guards again. I am pretty sleepy but if I go to bed I’ll be awful
tired in the morning so ill just write some more. Honey whatever you are doing,
stop for a few minutes and drop me a few lines, even if it isn’t very much. You
don’t know how lonesome it gets here at times; I know you get the same way. I
know honey, it’s hard to do some others, I really don’t know how I’ve managed
to write every day but I always get it done. I realize you aren’t as well as I am,
you get too tired sometimes to write don’t you? I’ll probably get some mail
today, it sure will be nice if I do and I also hope you get some from me. So
dream of me and be good.
With All my love and kisses to
my dear wife Clara,
Your husband Johnny
