Dearest
Clara,
Honey I have written a letter to you
but will with this one. I am fin, just riding along on a ship. [It] is plenty
hot while I am sitting but will go out on deck to sleep, after [a] while. Hope
dear this finds you well, abd the folks. I think of you all the time too. I
want to wash down some before sleeping time. I smell so sweaty and no place to
take a bath. I will write again tomorrow. So do the be careful honey, for your
daddy. I surely will for you. So write often. Somewhere on the South Pacific
and no fooling huh!
With
all my love and kisses to my dear wife Clara,
Johnny
