Admiralty Islands

Dearest Clara,

Well it’s just about bed time, and I am a little bit sleepy, but will write this to you. Mother said that she has the house looking pretty fair now; seems more like home now to them. She was going to get some curtains to put up; it sure makes a house look much better, doesn’t it honey? Well tomorrow is Saturday; it’s just another day as usual. I went to church last Sunday; figure on going this coming one also. I don’t think it will hurt me any, do you? I have an awful time keeping our picture glued to my writing book; it keeps coming loose. I guess I’ll have to get my needle and thread out, and sew it on. I’ll bet it will stay there. Write and let me know how the folks are, and yourself. I hope the medicine is helping your Grandmother; it sure will be nice when she will be able to get around again.

I will now close for this time honey, and do be careful for me, as I am. I wrote this small; I hope you can read it anyway.

Write often; I love to hear from you.

With All my Love and Kisses to my Sweet Wife Clara, Your husband Johnny.
