Dearest Clara,
Well
Dear, I have one letter left to answer, of yours, but I’ll wait until this
evening to write it. By then I may get another one from you. It is a pretty
fair day. I’ve been thinking about working a few of my clothes, but today is
Sunday so I’ll leave them until later. I’ll sure be glad when the mess truck
comes; I sure am hungry. I had a fair night’s sleep last night, but still I feel
pretty tired; I sure hope things will be different when you get back home. I can’t
see why not. Maybe you will get some canning done anyway. Whatever you do, don’t
give up; I know what it is to do things I don’t like, and have to take a lot. But
I just do it, and say nothing. But I know you will do what’s right, and so will
I honey. I realize it’s tough for you as well as it is [for] me. I’m sure we
will both be much happier later, don’t you think? Well honey, I will close, and
write again later, so do be careful. I am.
With
All my Love and Kisses to my Wife Clara, Johnny.
