Dearest Clara,
Well honey, as I have
to go on guard, in a very short time, I will get this one written, and write
the other one later. I am okay. I hope
this finds you like me. It rained about
all night, and all day. I just came back
from the show; it hasn’t had time to settle yet either. My tent started to leak
on the foot of my bed, so I had to get the stuff we use to stop up the leaks,
it seems to be alright now, but I don’t know how long it will stay that way. I got one more necklace and two bracelets yet
to do, and then I’ll be out of the sea shells.
I hope I can get some more pretty soon, I sure would like to get all of
your folks and mine something made for them, but it will take a long time. I don’t have the material honey, and I know
how they feel, especially the little kids, don’t they dear? Well be good and
careful, and I am. Write often and I
hope everything goes alright now.
With
all my loves & kisses to my Wife Clara,
Johnny
