I will get this one written right away as it will soon be time for guard duty, I got 11 nice letters from you honey, 8 of them were U.S., I have them all answered so didn’t do bad did I. I took my bath early, so the mosquitoes wouldn’t bite me, I just got through reading Ruby’s letter, to see what she had to say, it wasn’t much, she is canning some lately, and still cutting weeds, I guess the place was about taken by them, you two women sure seem to work about alike, always busy. She was telling about me making fun of her cooking, but still she wishes that you and I were there. Of course Vern too, so she could cook us a good meal that would be swell wouldn’t it honey, I’d much rather you were doing the cooking. Goodnight.
