Dearest
Clara,
Honey, it is nine thirty, time I
should be going to bed, but I have to do this first. I wrote a few lines to
Mother on one of these. I was talking with one of the boys, about bobcats and
other wild animals. He is from the East; all he had ever seen was in zoos. He
thought a coyote was big like a gray wolf. I hope it cools down some more, it I
doesn’t it will be too hot to rest well. I bet it isn’t that warm there, this
time of the year, is it honey? It won’t be long until everyone will be digging
out there long underwear. Ha Ha. Well Sweetheart, be
careful and I will always [be careful] for you, It is time I roll in for about
four hours. Good night. Write often.
With all of my love to my dear wife Clara,
Johnny
