Dearest Clara,
Honey,
I didn’t get one of these written to you last night. I miss several of them,
but I can’t help it dear. It bothers me when I don’t, get both for you. I got
to go on evening alert, in just a little while, but I still have plenty of time
to finish before that time.
We
were busy building a place to store some of our equipment. One of the boys
didn’t feel very good today, so I took his place on phone for awhile this
afternoon. There wasn’t any mail to day so it’s a good thing I held the 3
V-letters over, or there wouldn’t be much to write,
honey. I took my bath around noon, and washed my head, I don’t know how the
sand gets in it so bad, but it sure does. Well, sweetheart, I’ll get your other
one written after the alert is over. Be very careful as I love my wife lots. All
my love and kisses, write back often.
To
my wife Clara, Johnny
