My dearest Gerry,
I was thinking about what I said I expected least ad howled when I opened the mail and found a package of the enclosed circulars. It looks like we will have to have our own twins—no maybe—and to add to my pleaser our fifth bond came through this morning. Miss Russell our junior assistant manager left for Texas this morning so I had to rush around and take up a collection for a goodbye present. They usually stick me with that job but I don’t mind it because so far I never had any trouble getting money. Today I completed the R. rand file and our credit work will be much easier. Tonight I took all the time-cards home and figured out overtime (everyone got some this week). It took almost 2 hours so I’m all set for tomorrow. I hope to get the 6:30 train as I am going to E. Elmhurst for the weekend. Have to go home because I didn’t write at all this week. I guess I’ll b accused of all kinds of hard heartedness but I have so many other things on my mind (especially gas.) My overtime takes care of my income tax without touching our bank account which tickles me pink.
How is O.C.S. coming?
Did you write home yet?
Did you (?) maker?
Jerry if you don’t write soon I’ll have to call Mercy 0-0000.
All my love,
Eileen
