My
dearest Maggie:
Our
minds must work together, You know I started to think about a three day pass
around Thursday, so I put in for one for 7th to 9th and
also have the weekend, but I don’t know what is going to happen yet, probably
end up by getting the weekend if that.
We
are scheduled to move on or before the 15th, so I don’t
know.
It
was very lonesome again over the weekend with nothing to do. I’ll be glad when
next week rolls around. I think I will get a couple more towels for you and
bring them along when I come (if I do). I saw a pretty good picture on Saturday
night, “A Guy Named Joe”. Charlie is a 2nd Lt. now, but I didn’t hear
from him yet, he may have been sent across already.
Had
a letter from mother and she said Phyllis was sick and missed school, two days.
The doctor said she had an upset stomach or something, and I guess she went back
to school today. Mother said she hates to miss school. She is some kid, I like
her.
I was busy for once today running around
camp picking up things, it makes time go faster.
How
are you feeling lately honey? Did you take in any fresh air yet? We have been
having some nice weather here lately.
Alexander’s
wife had a baby girl and I think she weighed 7 pounds. I guess he sure took a
raging about having a girl. It’s funny, the three of us having babies a few days
or weeks apart. Maybe we were trying to have a race. Remember that cemetery in
Franklin?!!
Try
to take in some fresh air honey. You may get to feel like yourself
again.
I
love you my dear Maggie.
Goodnight
for now,
All
my love,
Preston
