Dear Marguerite,
Will try and write a few lines before going to bed.
I am so terribly sorry you forgot the keys to the luggage and hope you were able to find keys around there that would fit. I am putting the keys in this letter.
Will probably get a letter from you tomorrow, we worried a lot about you getting these from Phila.
I painted the baby buggy this afternoon. We didn’t go any place, had the car under the tree all afternoon. I couldn’t get any extra gas last night. Would like to have gone to the lake. Anna came over this PM. I guess I would have asked her uncle Fred for a couple of tickets if I had coaxed her a little. He wanted to go to Cedar Point, but it was too late then. We had a talk with her about Dorothy etc: and the talk we heard, she was very angry and said she never had at any time told momma or anyone things which she was supposed to have said. She is going on vacation and is going to Ann Arbor to spend the week with Dorothy this Tuesday.
We had a very severe storm here yesterday at 4:30 P.M. I just got home from work. Lightning and wind were terrible. Several trees were blown down. The power was off here until about 10:30.
We went up town at 6:30 and had supper at Hildas. Took in the stores and came home. It was just right to sleep last night, but it has been hot again today. 88o and it looks like a bad night to sleep. Such a time as we are having finding your address. Good night.
With Love,
Mother and Dad
