Dearest Marguerite:

Well honey I took a little time off last night, had an ice cream sundae and went to the show. I saw “Wilson.” It was a long show, and I thought it was pretty good, and some very good acting.

I had another inspection here today by a Major from the inspector General’s department, he checked my records and looked around the supply room. He thought my records looked pretty good and I think I passed alright. I guess I’ll be having a lot of inspection from now on in.

I did get your letter today, and by the looks of it you seemed to have been a little angry at me, but then I guess I always have you at that saying I’m a long suffering hero. Perhaps you’re not interested in the way I feel, anyway I love you, and I’ll never stop whatever you say. I had you on my mind again today. I got so homesick for you. I’d give anything to be with you forever. I love you I tell you and there’s no getting away from it.

Now as for your letter, they do take up a bit of room that’s why I’m sending them home. I save every one you know. And you better not stop writing or I’ll come home and break your little neck. I think I can almost promise that I’ll get to see you soon, but I don’t know exactly when, anyway I wouldn’t tell you anyway.

I found a box today and will probably start putting some things in it tomorrow. I also found some wool drawers that are extra small, just about way. That seems to be my nature. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of any help to you in finding a name. I told you a long time ago that the decision was up to you. And as I said before my decision last time wasn’t very good, so I think it’s a woman’s place, anyway they always win out in the end Right?

I still didn’t get my teeth back. They must have sent them back to the factory for modification, or making me some new one.

Guess what, we’ve had the sun shining now for almost three days. About the longest it’s been out since we are here.

I don’t need glasses honey. My eyes tested 20-20 when we had our physical a couple of days ago. I don’t know what you mean by your size. Don’t laugh, but I thought they would be good to keep you warm in bed (when I’m not there of course) because it does get cold there and they would be ideal under slacks when you go out. What I meant by a dresser set was, a comb, mirror, brushes and some other things that go with it, but maybe you have no use for it now. You know heat, just let me know.

I think its goodnight again my sweet little wife. You are my every thought.

All my love,

Pres.
