My darling:

We just finished two barrels of beer a few minutes ago and I guess you know what kind of mood I’m in. Yes I am in a very loving mood as I usually am after a few dozen beers. I can’t do very much without you here, but I can pretend. I can feel your warm lips against mine and you are wearing good lipstick, I like it. Your arms feel so good around me, give me more kisses. I would like to dance with you darling for about 24 hours for about a week. It seems like years since the last time we danced, and it probably will be. I love you ever so much darling. I wish I would get some mail from you soon, I am dying to hear you tell me you love me.

One of the boys that goes downtown every day, brought me back a bracelet which I wanted for Phyllis and a pair of earrings for Ruth she wanted something from France so bad. The bracelet is so cute I think I will send it to you and get another one for Phyllis. I think it is very cute with the lucky charms from all over the world. It looks nice and bright on the wrist.

Tomorrow we are going to lose our first 9 men five with 85 or more and 4 that are 39 years of age. I even wish I was 39 just so I could come home to you and the kids. We are getting in 24 men from another company which will bring us back to strength again, so from the looks of things we may be on the move soon again.

I am getting very lonesome for you Maggie and I miss you so. Think of me often and write often too 6 or 8 times a day if you want. I’ll never say stop. I can’t wait to see your picture. I did tell you I liked the one with you and your glasses. It shows me of you for a change and your legs are very nice. I kiss that picture every night before I go to bed- I really do and it makes me feel better. I also kiss you when I wake up, the first thing. It is all because I love you minute of my life and I’ll never let you go. You are all mine darling, and don’t you ever forget.

This is about all I have to say for tonight. All you need to know is that my heart is over flowing with love for you.

            Goodnite my darling

                        All my love,

                           Pres,

P.S. I put the bracelet in another envelope.

Tell me if you get it, if you like it or if you want Phyllis to have it.  Please
