Dear Pauline-
I just got in under the wire after I left Frank’s car, in fact I had to take the third section, seemed as though everybody and his brother was trying to make the 8 o’clock run. We made good time and arrived 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Our section had a mixture of passengers- a couple of zig-a-boos, jitterbugs- a couple of blonds and a young mother with a 3 year old kid- I bet the mother was all tuckered out when she reached Detroit, for she had to hold the child on her lap all the way in. The kid behaved very well as it did not have a peep out all during the night. There was an old battle axe sitting in the rear that was afraid the kid would interfere with her sleep. I had 3 different passengers during the trip and not one was a blond- such luck. The first guy was a pensioned bus driver with 26 years service, he and his two sisters got a break when his uncle died and left them 2 homes and some money.
