Dear Mom and Pop:

Well here I am in sick bay. I’m feeling a little better now. My temperature was 100.1. Now I am down to normal. My throat is pretty raw and sore, and I still feel a little lightheaded I believe I’ll be home this weekend but don’t count on it. The food is really lousy in here. By the time it gets to us it’s cold.

Guess what. One of my front teeth off my plate broke off, + now I’ll have to get that fixed.

Hope to see you this weekend. Take care of yourself and tell Pop to take care of himself.
