Dear Mom and Pop:
Well I’m still in the hospital but have been moved to a convalescent ward. Don’t bother writing to me anymore, until I get a halfway permanent address. I might get liberty out of the hospital this weekend. If I do I won’t be home until Sat. afternoon. Again I say, don’t expect me! Well, I guess I’ll close this short letter. Hope to see you soon.
With all my love, Alfred.
