Dear Mom & Pop

It’s pretty slow here at the office today so I thought I would take the chance and get some of my letters written.

April was a rotten day to drive down to Washington but we made it alright. We took our time and hit the outskirts of Washington about 12:30. It’s really a job to direct someone around D.C. especially when you don’t know anything about it.

I’ll be home the weekend of the sixth and probably will be home Christmas Eve,  whether it will be early or late I don’t know. You see today I decided to put in for leave over the holidays. I put in for 11 days to last through  New Years. I think it will be approved.

Well I don’t think there’s much more to say that would be interesting.

Here at the office we are watching for a dispatcher that will cause us a lot of work so we will have to work Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I have the duty so it won’t bother me much.

Well I guess I’ll close now. Take care of yourself.

All my love,

Al
