Dear Mom and Pop:
Just a few lines to let you know how I’m getting along. The main reason I wrote was to get some address that I don’t have. I mailed out most of my Christmas cards today but I still have about 8 or 9 more to go.
I bought Gene a tie and key chain and sent it to him, one for his birthday and one for Christmas. I didn’t tell him which one would be which, so I’ll leave that up to him. He should get it either today or tomorrow because I sent it airmail.
I’m pretty sure that I’m going to get a ride up with one of the guys that works here in the office. He’s going to go home, either this weekend or next weekend right before Christmas and bring back the car. If he doesn’t get the car I suppose that I’ll hitchhike, since I got a return trip ticket on the train.
Well here is the list of the addresses that I want.
Aunt Barbara
Aunt Emma
Uncle Walter
Dick Schell
Betty McCoy
Aunt Flora
Mrs. Lippie (I want her full name too)
Bob Yost
I’m pretty sure that I haven’t missed anyone.
Well I guess I’ll close these few lines for now. See you the 24th.
All my love,
Alfred
