My darling Mother:
I received your letter today and was very glad to hear from you. Glad you all in the best of health and as for me I’m fine. Yes we have been busy getting settle and to top everything off having inspection. All this week we’re going out on the range and do some firing and I guess were going to fire all the weapons and that means a busy week coming. So you haven’t moved yet. By the way you was talking you was going to buy a place in town. I didn’t think it was that hard to get a rent. What do you think of that invasion? Our boys are surely doing a swell job on those Germans. The way things look for us now we may hit part of it, it all depends how things go. But I’m getting my furlough first. My furlough is coming in July now its anywhere from the 1st to the 15th of July. I was supposed to get it this month but on count of the firing this week sets it back. Well excitement for me is dead only thing I do is go see a show and sleep and work but I’m not kicking any.
How’s
the weather up in
XXXX All my love
