Dear
Hon:
Good
morning Sweetheart. I am in the groove again, writing to my sweetest, darling
husband. Darling, I missed you very much last night, I had all I could do, to keep
myself from crying my heart out. Its no use honey because it won’t help. I went
to sleep 10 o’clock and was I tired. The house is so empty with you gone dear.
Back to work, this morning. Work, always helps cure the blues.
Mary
+ I ran to the No. 5 train tracks last night hoping we may catch a glimpse of
you Darling, but no success. We saw the train pull out, but the windows were so
dirty that one could not see. We tried and did not succeed. I am very happy for
one thing and that is, because you had a pal to ride with. Darling, I am sure
it means a lot to you to talk to someone one a long trip like yours. It’s a
good time to put in this phrase, “everything works out for the best.”
Sweetheart,
I want to tell you that the few days that you were with me were the happiest
days in all my whole life. I think, that we understood each other more now than
we did in all our 9 yrs. of married life.
They were the most perfect days and I shall
2.
remember them always. Our love has developed to a beautiful stage,
and that is where I want it to stay. Honey, I don’t think that I could express
on paper my feeling for you. I’m sure you will understand darling and I had
proved it to you now, while you were home. I never realized that 2 people could
be quite so happy.
In
5 hours, you will be in St. Louis, dear and I’m sure that if there is any
possible way that you can drop me a card from there, you will. I hope that you
are not too tired when you have to go on duty again.
Darling,
I will close now, and write you again tonight as there are oh so many little
things I must do before I go to work.
I
love you darling, more than words can express.
“God Bless You.” Your Loving
Wife
