Dear Hon:
Good evening Sweetheart. I can’t
imagine how far you have progressed on your trip but one thing I know and that,
is, that you must be very tired. I will rest better when I know that you are at
your destination.
Having you home for those few days
was enough to make me realize how happy we would be being together for always.
It was heavenly. All the happiness we knew together again will never be erased
from my heart. It always will stay with me until that blessed day till I see
you again my darling.
I was rather tired working today as
I was on Male side with Freiler and it is too much work for 2 girls to handle.
Helen got sick on us and is going to sick bay for an indefinite time. X ray’s
shone where a chipped bone was giving her trouble in her elbow. She said it was
very painful. I was good being back to work though as being home without you is
not for me. Too much time to carry on.
The house is very comfortable
tonight, not as hot as yesterday. It is much cooler out tonight.
2.
I
stopped for a few minutes now to pin up my hair as I have washed it. Mary is in
bed already.
Honey dear, my patients all asked
about the soldier. Its wonderful what a memory they have. They don’t miss
anything do they? They all seemed to know that you were my husband also.
Darling, this is not much of a
letter but you understand dear that I am very tired. I made myself
stay up to write to you.
Sweetheart I will close now and once
again I will state that having you home as I did, meant everything in the world
to me. I have something precious to remember and again something to look
forward to. I only hope that the time will not stretch to any large number
before we get together again.
I love you darling, more than I can
put in words. May “God Bless You” and take good care of you for me.
Your
Loving Wife.
