Dear Hon:
Good
afternoon Sweetheart. I am picturing you in Camp by now. Is it so, or am I
wrong? I hope that you can get washed and get a good rest until tomorrow. I know
it is not like home but at a time like this just to be able to stretch out
should help.
I
just got caught up after dinner. Mrs. Phillips has done out for a while so I am
taking advantage of this extra time by writing to you darling. We had a very good
dinner, and I still feel full.
Mary
had a letter from Bus this morning and he is busy as usual. Sat. + Sun. he
spent on the firing range. His company is starting to issue furloughs so it may
not be long before Bus is home. I often wished that the two of you could get
home together but I have changed my mind as having you to myself as I did was
the nicest thing in the world. Everything happens for the best and how.
Wanda
also heard from Frank and he stated that from the way things look over there he
won’t be home for a long time. It is very

discouraging, isn’t it darling? I wish it was
over tomorrow.
The
weather is somewhat changing again. There is a very swift and cold wind out
today. The house should be comfortable though as the fire was very good this
morning.
Darling,
I can’t forget how much I enjoyed staying home with you. The house was so
cheerful with you around that its partly hard getting used to it without you
again. I have no desire to get home nights.
Darling, that is a wrong attitude to take
isn’t is? I may as well snap out of it and take it with a smile. The first 6
mo. were the hardest, the coming months shouldn’t be so bad. Once spring comes
and we can get out more I’m sure everything will work out.
I
am closing now, so its good afternoon again to my sweetheart husband.
“I love you darling with every beat of my
heart.”

Loving Wife
