Dear Hon:
Good morning Sweetheart. I hope that
you are feeling fine when this letter reaches you. It must have been tough for
you to get into the strenuous excersize after being away from it for some time,
you will be as good as new before you know it darling.
Mary and I went to Kitty’s last
night as I had a uniform that needed altering, so I took it over. Morty was
over to Jimmy’s helping him as usual, with his upstairs flat I heard him say
when he got back, that they put on the first coat of paint on their rooms. We
waited till he got back, as he was to bring home with him some Italian cookies.
They were very good. We never left there till 11:30. We also had company just
as soon as we got home from work. Olga R. husband came after the potatoes and
Ma Frieberg was over also.
I heard that Sophie B. - is to be a
Mother again. It must be the latest style, don’t you think so darling?
I
forgot to write you in your first letter that Claude had been rejected on account
of his rupture. I didn’t think that he would pass.
I slept very good last night and
feel very rested, staying up late is to some advantage.
Darling,
I expect a card from St. Louis this morning but if I don’t get one I won’t be
too disappointed as that is entirely my own idea.
I
was right darling, I received your letter this morning from St. Louis. It was
nice to hear from you dear. I’m so glad that you enjoyed you furlough as I
tried my best to make it a perfect one for you. I enjoyed your stay equally,
now I am looking forward to seeing you very soon.
I must close now Sweetheart as it is
getting late and I must hurry and get dressed.
“I
Love You.”
Your
Loving Wife
