Dear Hon:
Good morning Sweetheart. I am
writing again from the P.’s residence. I am very
sorry darling, that I hadn’t wrote to you yesterday.
You see dear I tried to put too much in one day. Housework, downstreet,
and Kitty’s for supper. Wanda, Winky’s
wife was also invited to supper so we had a regular Hen party. The spaghetti
was very good and I ate too much as usual. Wanda was expecting Wink home
yesterday on a 10 day furlough. It is only 4 mo. since his last one. Mary and I
got home last night at 10:15 and I was too tired to write. Forgive me honey
won’t you?
I came on the bus this morning
because I didn’t have to get here early. I will go back on the bus also. I just
missed the Marcy bus by a hair, so I had to call Mary and she came and got me
to Whitesboro. The weather is awful. Yesterday it snowed and rained after a
while it was just a sheet of ice all over. We walked to Kitty’s and coming back
we walked in the middle of the road so that we could stay on our feet. It’s
thawing out today and much better driving. Have you gotten over your stay at
home yet? I hope so dear as I am adjusted back to the same life that I lived
before you were home. Everyone else is doing the same thing as we are so we may
as well grin and bare it.
2.
Darling
I am very busy right now so I will have to cut this letter short. I will write
you more tonight darling. I’m starting the dinner, baking bread and am trying
to squeeze this letter in between. I’m surprised at myself.
Well
my darling, I will close with Love to you, my dearest husband.
God
Bless You.
Your Loving Wife
