Dear Hon:
Good evening my darling. I’m hoping
that this letter will find you in the best of health. I have been feeling very
good lately except that I have been putting in some full days lately which leaves me very tired at the end of the day. It seems that I
keep plugging, day after day without letup. So much to do and
not much time to do it in.
Mary
and I went shopping after work, for a ironing board.
My old one warped on me, which left a belly right across the center of the
board. Can’t do no ironing that way so I bought a new one.
It’s a fairly good one, in fact the best you can buy nowadays.
Darling, what next
for you. School for gunners. Honey, it seems to
me that you have been getting plenty of training on shooting. I hope to God
that you may never have to use your ability in this sort of way. It may be to
your advantage though, someday darling don’t you think?
I
just this minute heard a noise like a garbage can falling over,
I went out to investigate,
2.
and sure enough, the top was off the can. Some dog probably
tried to get in the pail. It scared me for a second, but I’m always brave
enough to go and see for myself.
So you see the Kenneth boy at
school. That is nice sweetheart. It is indeed a pleasure to meet a boy from
your hometown and chat about the things that are so common and familiar to the
both of you. There is a great deal of satisfaction I’m sure. In
a case like this one though it is a coincidence. I’m referring to Mathew
+ Bernie I. Both boys have met in
Bus wrote in today’s letter that he
had his physical for overseas but did not know how he came out yet.
Sweetheart, I will close now, so
that I may get to bed to get a bit of rest as the early morning hours roll
around very fast.
I
want to tell you as usual that I love you darling with all my heart. More than
words can express.
God
Bless You.
