Dear Hon:
Good morning Sweetheart. Just got
back from 10:30 Mass at Vernon Center. It was a high Mass for John N. It is a
beautiful day out just like spring. The mud is very thick on our rubbers from the
front lawn. It is that soupy type, like every spring. You need boats to get to
the car.
After dinner we expect to take a
ride to Oneida. We want your Mom to come along as it would do her a lot of
good.
Leo stood up for Junior M. last
night. Jackie + his girl, Lea + Edith, Junior + his wife all went out and had a
banging good time after the ceremony. The wedding took place in the rectory.
Leo is Godfather in an hour or so in Utica for Pete K. He left before we got
home from church. He sure is a popular guy isn’t he dear?
Mary + I got here last night about
8:30 and will stay till tomorrow afternoon. Gee, it feels good to know that
tomorrow is our day off also. Very seldom that we stay here 2 days. Your Mom
was telling us that she went to Bills funeral with Z. He was laid out in
Clinton and the funeral was in Orinskony Falls Church. Jack W. wanted to buy
Bills place but his sister wouldn’t sell. She may want to come here for the
summer, so I don’t blame her.
Darling, I had to stop for a few
minutes as I was appointed official cook, so I had to stop to cook the spinach.
I brought some home and brought [it] along with me. We are having a nice dinner
and with all my heart darling I wish that you were here to enjoy it too. I
can’t help but think of you dear when I’m seated at the table as you were
always beside me when we ate [at] home. Darling, I hope to God those blessed
days will be revived very soon, so we can all be together and happy.
Good afternoon sweetheart, I shall
write you again tomorrow my darling Hubby. “God Bless You and bring you home
soon!
P.S.
I Love you Hon.” XX Your
Loving Wife
