Dear
Hon:
Good
evening darling. I feel quite
rested tonight as I had a nice rest this afternoon, almost immediately after I
got home from work until 5 o’clock.
Tomorrow morning is my last day on early and boy it sure is something to
look forward to. I like my sleep in the morning.
I
received tomorrow’s letter today. Tuesday letter to be
exact. You got back from the
movies in the nick of time, didn’t you dear. (Showers are very common in
Claiborne aren’t they? It
rains all the while. The thunder
does not appeal to me. That is one
thing I dread most in the summertime.
You must hear it thunder very plain in the huts. It always sorta sends
chills up and down my spine.
Darling
you wrote me where I was to receive a card with your change of address on it.
Honey, I guess I jump to conclusions very fast, but it just didn’t sound
right to me. I never remember anyone getting a card with change of address on
it, other than overseas. Your clothes coming home, card, it all scared me a
little, I had to convince myself that there was
nothing to worry about. You never know what their plans are in the army.
Somehow I am afraid

to face the fact that you could go across, just like the
other boys have. As long as you are in good old
Darling,
I just stopped to think if you mentioned writing home. Somehow I wish that you
had written home as Your Mom would appreciate getting it. You don’t
realize dear how much she mentions it and looks forward to getting it. Of
course darling I do realize how hard it must be on you to write extra letters
after writing me such long and beautiful letters. That is all I can do and that
is write to you sweetheart. an extra letter seems such
an effort.
Darling,
I am closing again as my bath water is ready. After I get cleaned up I should
sleep like a baby. A bath always does relax one. Goodnite, sweetheart darling until
tomorrow. I Love You honey very dearly.
Your Loving Wife.
