Dear
Hon:
Good
morning Sweetheart. Just got up from a nice long rest. I dreamed all blessed
night darling and of course you were in it as usual. You were getting ready for
a nice fishing trip if that was so you would be very happy wouldn’t you
dear?
Yesterday,
was Palm Sunday. When we left the farm in the morning we rode to Whitesboro and
went to church in Whitesboro. Wanda and Helen met us there. It was a beautiful
day here. When we got back home in the evening I had to start the stove and
boiler to get some heat. Mary took a bath afterwards and I washed my hair. I
have an appointment for a permanent tonight at 7 o’clock. I will be very
happy to get it done as my hair is unmanageable nowadays.
I
have a little present for Julia’s baby boy but as yet I didn’t get
to see her, I probably won’t either and will have to leave it with my
mother.
I’m
wondering honey, whether you are still at Claiborne or moved. You were
expecting to move any day so I
can’t help but wonder. I hope with all my heart that it will be within a
reasonable distance so that I may come and see you dear. I would love to do
that in fact I look forward to it very much.
I
am at P.s for 2 days as Bertha has 2 days off. Mon. and Tues. I like them very
much but it is so lonesome and quiet there. I miss the excitement of the dining
room. The day goes by so much faster in the cafeteria or West Male. It should
be a rest for me at P.s.
Mary
hasn’t heard from Bus this week but once. He must be very busy.
She
is looking forward to his furlough if he will be lucky to get one soon.
Darling,
I will close as there just isn’t anything else to write about. Nothing
exciting, the same old thing day in day out. When warm weather comes and we get
outside, we may at least learn something about our neighbors.
P.S.
Your pussy-willow tree is finally developed into something. It has beautiful
tall pussy-willow on it.
I
love you with all my heart.
Your
Loving Wife
