Dear Elva,
I’m sorry I haven’t written to thank you for the fudge before this but we’ve been pretty busy lately and I guess I kind of forgot.
The fudge arrived in very good condition and was greatly appreciated by me as well as the rest of the fellows.
Mom tells me that Mabel is starting a dress shop in her home. Well I’m going to try to write to those whom I’ve neglected in town. But if you see Mabel before I get a chance to write, wish her a lot of luck for me. Well Elva I’m sorry this is so short but I want to write to the folks before “lights out”. Thanks again for the fudge and I hope you can decipher this letter for I’ll admit my penmanship is very poor.
Good bye for now,
Love to all
Irving
