Dearest Ralph,

I just got home from work and there was two letters here from you. I was real glad to hear from you. I’m laying in bed writing because I’m tired. I’m on my feet just about all day. I like my job better each day. I don’t know for sure how long I’m going to work. I am staying at home some and down at your home part time. Scotts wanted me to stay there but I didn’t want to. I started in for $10 a week and each week when the income is over $1,000 there is a percent divided among two of us. I have to do some typing and I help with the clerking.

I wish you would get my letter that I sent to Columbus. I had it redirected. If you don’t get it pretty soon I’m going to check up on it. It had that bond refund in it for you to sign. I have written several letters so I don’t know which one you got. It must have been the short one I wrote when I sent the box to you. I sent you stationary, coat hangers, and etc.

I got your clothes O.K. It made me feel bad to look at them.

Wayne Patterson was in the store today. He asked about you. Earnest was sent to Louisiana. Harold White was sent to Texas. I don’t know their address yet.

Honey please send me one of your pictures. You told me you would. I want a good one.

The Chevrolet still runs. I had the tires inspected and they were all O.K. but the spare. It needed recapped but it wasn’t necessary at once.

Ralph you should write to your Dad and Mother more often. Johnnie walks in to the P.O. every day looking for a letter. I stayed there all night Tuesday night. Eliza took me up and put me to bed. I’m going back tomorrow night (Friday) and stay all night.

I miss you Ralph. I still love you more than I ever did. I wish I could see you to talk to. That would be the biggest thrill I ever had.

Jeannie Coffy just came in and she said “Hello.” She can ask more questions any more.

I can’t think of anything or news to tell you. Well Ralph I’ll close for now and I’ll write more the next time. I haven’t been to the show since you left Ralph so you know I haven’t been going any place. I wish you were here to love me up. When you come home we’ll have to start our romance all over (won’t we). Here’s some kisses
