Dear Mom,
Awfully sorry I haven’t written for so long. I know you wait to hear from me but I’ve been moving around here and there and we can send only a limited amount of mail from here. If it wasn’t for a break we got you wouldn’t be getting this. This is one day at least I won’t miss being in Cleveland (not much to do since they don’t sell firecrackers anymore) you know how much I loved to shoot them.
Not much I can tell you except I’m well and earn to be home more than ever. I seen my health record at the last place I was at and find out I’m in swell shape. There was nothing in it about my head so it’s accurate anyway. Tell Frank and the rest I won’t be able to write them for a while on account of conditions at present. Did you say Donnie said she’d write? So far nothing yet from her? I’ll have a new address one of these days but keep writing and I’ll get the stuff in time.
If Gellrigel sends my Eagle’s card it won’t do me any good for the present but I’ll carry it with me because someday I might wind it up where they have a place. I’ve got 15 dollars in my pocket that’s practically useless and I’ll hang on to it for a while until I get more then I’ll send it to you since it’s useless to me. Tell Jane I won’t write for a while to a moth anyway. Naturally I’ll write to you before anybody else. I know the kid who shot the fellow downtown- we went to the Academy together- well lots of love don’t worry and take care of yourself. Say hello to Trolly. Okyes help on sending clippings from the Department- Okyes let me know if you see your Lee Wadanef a Gonga with a wicker pocket book – it’s the one I sent her bird of ivory color.
Love
Bun
