Dear Mom, Pop, and Bro,
Arrived safely but cold. We had a blanket around our legs but we still were chilly on the feet side.
By the way, I got my check this morning, from the laundry, they paid me what I asked. I am enclosing the money order for $8.00 as you can see, so get me the things that I need. Make it go as far as possible and if there is any left keep it on the jacket.
Everyone down here really likes it, the lowest guess on the price is $10.95. Mr. Crossley said that judging from the leather it looked like a $16.00 one. I ain’t said a word, just let them save on, don’t tell ‘em nothing ‘cept that I don’t know how much. You are really a bargain finder right. Don’t know what I would do without you. Not only in the respect the clothes but every way. I love you Mom even if I don’t show it by always kissing ‘n hugging, but it’s there anyway. Tell Dad and Ben they are included and that they had better not kid me about it too.
Not much news so I guess I will close.
Be sure the shirts are 14 ½ - 34. Mother don’t get no cheap looking shirt’s. Go to National Shirt on Bond’s if you can’t find a good sale. I don’t know what sized that last underwear was that you got for me but is getting too little for me. Guess I am gaining. I feel like it. Hope so anyway. Am taking exercise some at night now trying to get into shape for the Air Corps.
Have written Frances and Bettie, I really got sarcastic with her. I’ll find out what happened and if I don’t like it I’ll drop her like a hot potato.
See you all next week-end.
Love from me to thee,
