Dear Mom:

Glad to hear from you again. It makes me feel like I have been home when I hear from you. Keep writing.

Well I have all my girls a Christmas presents. I got Betsy a nice compact, and I am going to give her a picture of me and kiss her good-bye and call it a day. I have held on long enough. This is a good way to end up as friends. Of course it is already ended, in fact it ended before it started but I juts kept on holding on.

I got Frances a bottle of perfume and Ann, in Forsyth a silver bracelet with the Air Corps emblem on it. I am going to buy you all’s when I get to Atlanta so I wont have so many packages to carry home with me, if I can come. I don’t know for sure that I can ride the trains or buses. They may put restrictions on tickets but I am going to flash my identification card on them and they may let me ride. I’m going to try hard anyway.

Here is the address of the book company: D. Van Nostrand Co. Inc. 250 Foserth Ave. New York, N.Y.

I am going to study every night after Christmas until I am called.

Mother I am sorry but I can’t send any more than the usual $10 because I spent a little more than I had intended too. Everything down here is so awfully high. It is discouraging to see all your money going and not getting much in return for it.

That just about covers everything for now so until Christmas.

            Goodbye for now.

Love,

Roy
