Dear Walt,

Well here I am at last. It seems I just have to wait until I get in the mood to write.

First of all I want to congratulate you on your recent engagement to on of my dearest friends and Frankie and I both wish you and your little “bride to be” all the luck and happiness in the world! Here’s hoping you both will always be as happy as you are right now. We saw Mae’s ring and we think it is lovely. It looks so pretty on her finger. Such dainty fingers she has!

Mae told me how grand you folks were to her and judging from what she says they must be pretty swell folks. I sure do wish that Frankie and I could meet them. Here’s hoping that someday we may have that pleasure.

So glad the cake held up in good shape and that it was enjoyed by all.

Guess you and little Mae are looking forward to November 8th. Sure hope that she can make the trip. Believe me, I know what it is to be separated from your loved one. Frankie is still in Buffalo but back there today from 6 days leave. It was sure a pleasure to have him around the house for a change. We had planned on going to Tennessee but after figuring things out we decided we couldn’t swing it just yet so we just went to Grafton to see his folks for a couple of days and the rest of the time we spent here at home.

Did Mae tell you what a lovely time we had a couple of weeks ago when she was out here! You should have seen your little honey cook. She’s getting to be a whiz.

Walt, did you find out anything about those bottle tops for me? I would sure appreciate it if you could get them for me as I want to get my book filled up so I can get my jacket. I have my book almost half full now. Well polsie-wolsie, I hope you can is it us again soon and remember we are always glad to see our “Sorry boy” and “Baley Mae” and all their loved ones. Love to all- Frank and Nezzie

P.S. Had a letter from Mae Tuesday. She writes such a nice letters doesn’t she?
