Dear Mae
I was really surprised to get a letter from you after Sun. night. I thought I wouldn’t answer if at first but thought about it awhile and changed my mind.
I don’t think I will look for a girl to get married to for a long time. I guess my best idea is just play with them & leave them then there will be nobody hurt in other word love them & leave them & not try to go steady with anyone.
I guess I loosened up when I was with you as now I can be just as hard & tough to crack as I used to be. So don’t think for a minute I am going to let it get me down.
I don’t believe you could stand the life of a farmers wife anyway so maybe if is just as well we got things straightened and when we did. Well I guess I have said enough now as will sign off.
