Dearest Hal- Thank you for the very unique Mother’s Day greetings, which I read several days ago. Who was the artist? Well, I am spending Mother’s day without seeing even one of my children, which makes it kind of lonesome.
It has at last gotten warm, but it keeps windy so much of the time and that makes my head and ears ache. Last week I had this nasenalagia so badly I had to stay in my room for several days out of the wind. The trees and grass have just lately gotten really green. Everything is so late this year. I think most of the fruit was killed but there may be some apples, especially late varieties.
I got a V-mail (the first) from Billy last week. He wrote so little I could hardly read it but he said a lot. He said “They here gotten two Arabian Stallions here and I was the only one who could ride them.” I promised that he might be using them to get around to his work bet he did not say. I just heard over the radio that a huge cargo plane had just landed in your country via Africa.
Sara just wrote me that she was going to Crest Va with Harry this week and stay a couple of weeks. She is going back to her house July 1st. She and H.N. really missed it. Mothers day greeting and love to you Mother.
