Dearest Hal,
I have gotten quite a lot of mail from you lately and it has been a wonderful feeling and one I haven’t had for such a long time. I do understand that you couldn’t write and I’m sorry I was so impatient for letters from you.
I was delighted to get the money orders and I decided to take the money to the bank at For Brogg and add to what you sent. This gave me enough to buy two $1000 bonds. We already have one you know. Mr. Bussey keeps them for me at the bank and they are insured against any kind of loss. I will be able to buy a $500 one next month. I don’t seem to be able to do as well as you do but I am trying just as hard.
In one of your letters you said I would not have to worry about income tax anymore. Please explain more in detail.
I had a letter from “Nana” this morning. She says she is feeling better. Sally and I plan to go over next week, would have gone today but Harry Nash was upset and Sally didn’t like to leave him. We have all had colds but we all are better today.
All my love,
