Dearest Hal—I have made quite a mess of my printing, not being expert at it—I read your letter and money order yesterday and think it is very sweet of you to send me such a generous present. Thank you so very much dear boy. Sara was over yesterday and I got her to cash it and get me some pajamas—I was needing some very much—I have been sick since last Thursday. Have pulsing and fluid again, so I am back in bed after being up since July—It just breaks my heart too—This is not a serious ailment and many have it and don’t now know it but I seem to have a bad reaction, as I did last winter, and it has made me really feel badly—Billy will get his furlough and leave Camp D. the day before Thanksgiving—He has a ride to Richmond and said he would see me, Thanks-day or the day after—says he will know by Sat. where he will be sent. I will be so glad to see him. Page and Saul went to Rich yesterday to visit Eliz for a few days and take the allergy tests—I have written you about every week and hope you have gotten some of them—I get yours in 2 weeks lately and am always so glad to hear. Mrs. Shees wrote me such a nice letter—asked about you and said wouldn’t I be thrilled to get a letter from him—
All my love, Mother
