My Dearest Hal,
We are still completely snowed in as far as the cars are concerned. We can only get out by walking. I’m going for the mail now and to get a few necessary groceries, so I will have a chance to mail this to you. It is snowing again so it looks as though we might be in for quite a while. So far it has been too cold to melt any.
Peggy did not go to work today. She came home last night sick so I am afraid she may have to miss some time [at work]. She has not been very well this winter. She has had to go to Dr. Fisher and have her sinuses treated. It doesn’t seem to have helped very much. But maybe she will feel better when the weather gets better.
Maffett and Marian are getting married today. At least they are planning to if they can get to the preacher’s house. I hope they will make it. It’s bad luck to postpone a marriage. They won’t have so much time left anyway. I’m glad we didn’t wait so long as that. I am so grateful for the memories I have of the years I spent with you. This is only a note to tell you I still love you more each day that passes.
As ever,
