My dearest Hal,

I had a nice long letter from “Nana” today. She said she was feeling better than she had all winter. I’m so glad and I do hope when spring comes she will feel even better.

She had a letter from Billy from Africa. I am so thankful that he has arrived safely. I do hope he will keep well and that nothing will happen to him. It’d be so much easier in my mind if I could only get you boys home again. I’m sending you his address: A.P.O. 4015-K-W; C/O Portsmouth, New York.

Today the garden club met in the Red Cross room. We sew at the sewing room and have our meeting at the same time. I was elected secretary for this coming year. I hate writing minutes but guess everyone has to do some things they don’t like.

We certainly have enjoyed Bobo’s visit. He has to go back Saturday. He is stationed at Nichols Hospital in Louisville, Ky. 85th. Lew Hospital is his outfit.

It would have been wonderful if only you could have been here with us, Darling, I miss you more as time goes on. Sometimes I feel as though I couldn’t stand it until you can come home. I know that will be the happiest day of my life.

All my love,
